Let’s get physical !!

Hey Beautiful People,

How is everyone? I hope and pray everyone is doing well both mentally and physically. If you are struggling daily, it is my hope that you check out some of the listed resources in my last blog. In particular, the Crisis Text Line, my two very best friends volunteer their time with this WONDERFUL service.

Mental Wellness Challenge #2

(You didn’t think I would forget right?!?!)

                           DO SOMETHING ACTIVE

It is my true belief that physical wellness= mental wellness- plain and simple. Take the movie “Legally Blonde”. Elle Woods is trying to defend her new client who is a fitness guru on trial for murder.

“Exercise causes Endorphins, endorphins make you happy, happy people don’t kill their husbands”

As simple as it sounds, Elle Woods is 100 % right! When you exercise you release endorphins- AKA “Tiger Blood”, “AHH Factor” and “Feel Good Feeling”. These are the some of the best feelings on earth. These feelings of excitement, positivity and accomplishment with that hormonal backing kick any feelings of depression, negativity and despair right in the rear end.

As mental illness sufferers we need all the positive brain chemicals that we can get, so why not do something that will automatically get those endorphins on board.

NOW, I’m not saying go run a marathon –heck – I would be peacing out right then and there! I only run when someone is chasing me.

Walk, dance, swim, ride a bike, do yoga, do some gardening, doesn’t matter what it is as long as it moves your body for 20 minutes, IT’S ALL GOOD! Don’t be afraid to try something different. Recently, I attended a Zumba class for the first time. It was very different cardio for me and super fun! I have been twice already and look forward to the next one!

I found this wonderful article on Google when I searched for “exercise for people who hate exercise”. In summary, it shows different people’s motivation for exercising that cannot stand to exercise! Check it out!

TAKE THIS CHALLENGE OH BEAUTIFUL ONES!! Let’s get those endorphins going and on board!

I wish you peace, love and joy every day of your life.
